Susan Halm

Owner

Sue Halm brings over 30 years of construction experience. Starting one of the first women-owned businesses in Chicago in 1985, she worked on projects from McCormick Place, Navy Pier, the United Center and many Chicago Public Schools. This experience opened an opportunity to begin working with concrete products and led to the start of Prairie Path Pavers and PaverCare, Inc. Together with her sons these businesses became established. But always having a passion for gardening and its design, she started The Lorelei Group in 1997. Since that time the business has grown to a full service landscape company. With consolidation of all these companies under the Prairie Path Group, and working closely with each customer, we hope to bring an enjoyable and professional answer to our customer outdoor dreams.

Marty Halm

Owner and President of Prairie Path Pavers

Marty began to manage Prairie Path Pavers in 1990 and has grown the company from a small pickup truck and a handful of laborers to a well established employer of over 50 field and office employees. In recent years Prairie Path Pavers has become one of the largest and most recognized hardscape contractors in in the Chicagolnad area.  Marty and Prairie Path Pavers have completed over 10,000 residential and commercial projects.  

Marty is a graduate of LTHS and Elmhurst College, and a resident of Western Springs. He has been fortunate to work close to home with the residents of his surrounding communities. Prairie Path Pavers supports local little league teams and schools along with charities such as Make a Wish, Pillars, Hines VA, The Wellness House of Hinsdale, and the Western Springs Federation for Excellence in Education.

Thaddeus Halm

Owner and President of PaverCare, Inc.

TC began working for Prairie Path Pavers in the 90s, maintaining existing brick paver driveways by repairing and sealing. In 2002 he started running the day to day operations of  PaverCare, Inc.  PaverCare is one of the first maintenance and restoration companies in Illinois. 

TC is trained in the application of sealers by Unilock. PaverCare is the largest applicator of Surebond Sealers in Illinois and has completed over 1,000,000 square feet of sealing since 2002. TC has a degree in Education from DePaul University and can be found at numerous homeshows throughout the year.

Erinn Checchi

Landscape Designer and Sales

Erinn has over eighteen years of field experience designing and installing stylish landscapes. She graduated from Indiana University’s School of Business with a degree in Finance, worked in both sales and consulting, and ran a landscape design company for ten years before joining Prairie Path Group.

David Gum

Landscape Architect and Sales

Dave brings us over 25 years in the landscape design build business in the Chicago land area. With this experience he has been involved in all aspects of landscape design and field management. Dave has a BSLA from Oklahoma University and is a registered Landscape Architect in Illinois.
